It takes 12 weeks of regular fitness training to move into the moderate level of training, why? It takes the muscles 8 weeks to adapt to training (they feel stronger) and the connective tissue 12 weeks to adapt to training. If you go too hard too soon too often you run the risk of being newly injured.
That 12 week period’s what I call “the baby chick stage.”
